I have been working at Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research full-time for more than 3 years

Core facilities are fantastic, lots of brilliant people, cookie hour, forums

Inter-lab culture can be somewhat lacking, and it's cut off from the rest of MIT. Also the labs tend to be very large and disconnected from each other.

I applied through other source. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in April 2009.

    Interview Details

I did not have an interview at Whitehead, but they are all very typical for postdocs in academia. You give a talk about previous research, you meet with prospective principal investigator, and with each member of the lab. You might have a second meeting with the principal investigator, and maybe taken out for dinner.
