I worked at Wichita Technical Institute full-time (More than a year)Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDoesn't RecommendNegative Outlook
Fellow employees, encourage each other for the benefit of the students. The hope you are helping some one help themselves.
You will not contribute, management has only one way of doing things. You are held accountable for many things that are out of your control. Goals are not attainable if you work the system as intended. Those that appear to be reaching goals, have learned how to manipulate the reporting system. Or, use unethical practices for enrollment. They do not care how your goal is met, just meet it. In an effort to enroll students, entry criteria is always changing. Leads you will be working are a joke! There is no work/life balance. You will work 2 to 3 times more weekends than you are told,, due to the high amount of turnover. Micro management at a premium, they have a very low level of trust in their employees. No matter hard you work, you should be doing more. Training is trial and error, they do not know what works.
Advice to Management
You can not continue to do things the same way, and expect different results! Let your department managers, manage.
Share a mission, respect and value your employees.
