Working at Winstar you have the opportunity for movement. Growing in this company is easily done. Those in management are usually competent.

The customers are near impossible to work with. The stress that is put on the employee is more harsh than necessary.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider doing more in-depth training on the Actual customer service experience. Also the handling of many aspects of more situations.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at WinStar World Casino.

    Interview Details

I applied for this job and received a call for an interview about 2 weeks later. The interview was simple. She asked questions about my classes and what I was studying for since I was a full time student at the time. She asked me what I expected from the position and what my role would include. She informed me that the Stage Hand required more than setting up for concerts. Everyone classified as a Stage Hand would be working as a group to set up for every single event held by WinStar. She told me she would work around my school schedule, but if I was called in to work I would be expected to be there, even though she repeatedly told me that being a full time student was acceptable. I was also informed that the position started at $9/hr. I declined the job because I would rather focus on school rather than driving 30 minutes when being called in for an unexpected job during class hours.

    Interview Questions
    • The questions were basic questions about school, classes, degrees, etc. The interview was around 15 minutes and the majority of it was her explaining scenarios of the position and what I should expect.   Answer Question
    Reasons for Declining

The position didn't work with my school schedule. I had full classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I was informed that the main days of "setting up" would be those exact days.
