I have been working at Windermere Real Estate full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Windermere has the best reputation of any real estate company in the Seattle area. Just working here gives you instant credibility as an agent. The splits are on the higher end compared to other companies but it is worth it with the training and support you receive. Everyone I work with is very professional, and management is very supportive. Upper management is good at creating a culture of success.

    Cons

Splits are high, and technology is lagging a bit. Windermere already has the reputation, if the technology website etc.. was at par with the rest of the company it would be all over.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on technology and website and listen to brokers constructive criticism. The best agents in Seattle work for Windermere they have good ideas.

    Interview Details

Only one interview. They often prefer to hire from outside the industry so they don't get agents with bad habits. Some offices will hire most anyone because the agent pays them a monthly "desk fee" to work there. Other offices, which are on a commission split, want a solid work history.
