    I have been working at Windsor Fashions full-time


    By far, this is the most fulfilling job I have had. I love managing and staying busy and this company sure knows how to keep you busy. If you're lazy, stay away. Constant flow of shipment, visual changes, administrative work, training and being your own loss prevention team. The discount is amazing, there is room to grow (with the company expanding greatly too), i love that it is family owned and the owner and ceo make personal visits to EVERY store. The clothing is USA made and the price point is great. my co-workers and I are like a family and are very supportive of each other.


    The pay rate is extremely low for the amount of work given. I can't believe how much store managers make for salary, it is so low and they work them overtime. At least as a Co-Manager, I get paid extra for over time being hourly. We don't get a proper budget to staff the store based on the work given. How can I have an associate watch the front, another in the back and manage the floor/watch out for theft/coach when we only have two people opening/closing? How can an associate be an amazing sales associate and truly help a customer if they need to leave their zone, but there isn't another person available to watch the zone while their gone? I feel like i work my butt off and can't even make enough money to pay my bills. The health insurance sucks too, more expensive than going private.

    You need to invest in people who are in control of your store and profits. Management obviously wants to grow, but I am saddened that I know I will be unable to stay with this amazing company if I don't get a decent raise by my 1 year because you are not paying enough to pay bills and save money at the same time. I want to stay, but nowadays with the economy you simply are not providing enough pay...i don't want to live paycheck to paycheck and wonder how i'll pay rent. Also, you NEED to step up your theft game. Our sensors barely even work or the sensormatic does not work properly. get better sensors, they are ridiculously cheap...and give us a better budget to staff! I know my store would do much better in sales if we weren't always running around trying to get visuals and cleaning done...oh, and watching everyone like hawks so they don't steal. I can multitask, not be in 5 places at once.

    Application Details

    I applied online. The process took 1 week - interviewed at Windsor Fashions in June 2014.

    Interview Details

    Found the application online, it was originally posted over a month before. I applied anyways, not thinking anything of it as it was late at night when I did so. The next day, I received a call from the store manager asking me to come in for an interview. They had three time slots set up for the day I went in there, I chose the earliest one. I did some research on the company and current trends, even though I've shopped there before. I arrived for the interview about fifteen minutes early. They were busy and told me to shop around while they waited for a few more applicants. Two other applicants arrived and we finally went into the back room for the group interview. The manager was very friendly and talkative - she asked about 5-7 questions and we went around answering them. No one-on-one questions as we were already running out of time until the next interview had to start. She told us she'd be off for the next two days, so I didn't expect a call until after. After the interview, she had us fill out job applications in the store. After the next two days, I sent a thank-you email for the interview. Twenty minutes later I received a call from the manager offering me the position as Sales Associate. I went in the same day to file paperwork. I do not know who else they have hired besides myself, although the store still has the hiring sign outside their location. They possibly had around 6 or 7 applicants for the one day I went to interview, and the next day they conducted another interview, which had possibly 2 or 3 more applicants.
