I worked at Wine Enthusiast (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Office culture was progressive, it's focus on the wine and wine accessory industry, as well as it's publishing aspect, provided employees a fun environment to grow in.

    Cons

Although the company's directors and middle-managers were a pleasure to work with, the company's ownership was oftentimes rude and difficult to deal with. It's hard to do your job when "ma and pa" are sure their hunch is better than your expertise!

    Application Details

I applied in-person – interviewed at Wine Enthusiast in May 2013.

    Interview Details

Marco Turelli the Creative Director and Megan Baggott the photo director were so incredible and welcoming from the beginning. They were very good at what they did and made the overall experience a complete joy. During the interview they seemed very interested in my work and what I would be able to do for them while I worked there. They were very warm and energetic which helped motivate me as well. Megan went out of her way to allow me to accompany her on photo shoots just so that I could be involved and see the process.
