    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Winter Park Resort full-time (More than a year)

People are friendly, approachable, and down-to-earth. Honestly, it's pretty refreshing to work someplace where most everyone *wants* to be there. Or at least it seems that way. Everything here revolves around the outdoors (skiing, biking, rafting, community sports like softball, etc). What really matters to other people here is what you genuinely like to do for fun, and the outdoors is pretty universal. As a business Winter Park seems to strongly prefer to hire and promote from within -- there are real opportunities to take next steps if you decide this is someplace you want to be. On the admin side even entry-level people often get to work on some really big, cool, complex stuff.

It's a big mountain resort. Holiday weekends and Spring Break are huge. On the other hand, for most of us there are some low seasons (May, October) during which there might not be much work available. It's a small town. You're close to Denver (60 minutes to C-470, 90 minutes to downtown) but you won't find big box stores on this side of Berthoud Pass.

    Advice to Management

Loved seeing the Ski Train back this year. Hopefully there's more service where that came from!

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Winter Park Resort (Winter Park, CO).

I submitted a resume and was interviewed by the entire upper management team in my department. It was a bit overwhelming, but they made me feel comfortable and it was pretty laid back.

I was given a rate, I countered it, and they met me in the middle.
