In 1986, Xactware opened for business with Xactimate, its flagship estimating system. Xactimate helped contractors and insurance adjusters estimate repairs much faster and more accurately than they ever could before. Since then, Xactimate has evolved into a high-powered package complete with a patented plan-sketching program, and Xactware has become much more than just Xactimate.

    I have been working at Xactware Solutions full-time (more than a year)


    It is a nice atmosphere in which to work. The upper management cares well for their employees and seems to strive to make working here as enjoyable as possible. The new building is way nice!


    Starting in a Support role is pretty lame. They hire through a contract-to-hire agency and that process really sets you back on ability to advance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire support staff internally and stop using the contract-to-hire agency. I feel some of the turn-over in support is simply due to this fact.

    I applied online – interviewed at Xactware Solutions.

    Interview Details

    Did a video interview. Four recorded questions, none of which were technical. Three programming questions. There is a time limit for each but they give you plenty of time, like an hour for a pretty simple problem and thy provide test cases for you to run at the click of a button.

    • All questions were pretty simple. The most difficult one I had to write a program that received payment and gave the correct amount of change in the best form (how many dollars, quarters, nickles etc.).   Answer Question
