Yodle was founded in March 2005 by Nathaniel Stevens who, at the time, was managing online marketing for his father’s car dealership in New Haven, CT, while still a student at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Nathaniel realized that there was a better way for small businesses to connect with consumers than the antiquated techniques business owners were then using.
After winning a business plan competition and gaining some initial funding, Nathaniel teamed up with childhood friends Ben Rubenstein and John Berkowitz, as well as one of his professors at Wharton, Dr. Kartik Hosanagar, and Milind Mehere, to build the business.
From those humble beginnings – working late into the night out of shared office spaces and cramped apartments – Yodle would go on to achieve astronomical growth. Early in 2007 Yodle hired Court Cunningham as CEO and the eleventh employee.
Today, Yodle is the fastest growing local online advertising company in the U.S. with a team of 700 talented individuals helping thousands of clients grow their business online. Yodle’s headquarters are in New York, NY and has a presence in 40 of the top cities across the United States.
One of the biggest reasons for Yodle's success is the people that work here. Read these Yodle reviews and testimonials from our staff across different departments and offices to learn what they most enjoy about working at the company.

Technology, New York
"I love working with a team of very talented engineers to come up with elegant solutions to challenging business problems. We don’t just write code, we are as involved in finding the solution as anyone else. It’s so gratifying to see my work having real and measurable impacts on the business."
Yodle CEO Court Cunningham talks to Bloomberg TV about the local online marketing space and Yodle’s growth.
Meet the young entrepreneurs who’re fixing the economy and creating jobs. Top Empact-honored job-creator Yodle handles local Internet marketing from its New York City headquarters, and its employee numbers are soaring.
A lot of people go after the small business market, but can’t do it. It’s a hard problem to solve, but Yodle is super metrics-driven. They know the levers of this business.
Yodle has hidden the complexity and minimized the SMB education the sales reps need to do in order to close. Dare I say it . . . but Yodle may have “cracked the code” with its new more integrated product and sales approach.
Yodle CEO Court Cunningham was in town to meet with employees, Scottsdale mayor Jim Lane and the Phoenix Business Journal to discuss the company’s rapid growth since its inception eight years ago. “It was a great conversation with a company that’s on the move and growing,” said Lane. “It’s noted as one of the fastest growing entrepreneurial technology companies in the country.”

I worked at YodlePros
Great work environment. Like most successful sales companies, Yodle prides itself for it's culture. Great pay for the people who can work hard and smart at the same time. This job is not for the whiny or the used car salesman. Since it's mostly based on phone selling and cold calling you have to learn people's tones and pitches and know when to stop. It's a big company so no one will baby sit you. If you want to succeed , most senior reps are always there to help.Cons
Low base. ( But room for high commission) Not for the people who do not want to be on the phones. The training method could change a little.Advice to ManagementAdvice

I got an email right away saying that they were interested in setting up an interview. I of course agreed and told the HR lady the days and times I was available to talk. Well I never heard back until a week later. We then set an interview for this past Monday. Well guess what, I got stood up. This company is the most unprofessional, especially the HR department. How rude can you possibly be!No OfferNegative ExperienceAverage Interview
