I have been working at Young's Market full-time (more than an year)

    - Much improved management training
    - In-touch upper management
    - People come first
    - Upward mobility available (if you can perform)
    - Younger employee base
    - Awesome industry to work in

    - Limited positions in upper management
    - Not a lot of diversity in career paths after the sales representative position (currently)
    - Pay is not great, but with supplier driven incentives and overtime, opportunity to out earn your superiors is possible

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work! I have learned more about the industry, sales, and myself in the past year than I had ever imagined I could. The re-vamped training program has made a HUGE difference, so keep up the same thinking and keep challenging yourselves to make training and development better... A salary bump wouldn't hurt either.

Only had one phone interview and a one on one with HR and my sales manager, very easy questions, didn't try to stump you just wanted to get to know you. I was very nervous this being my first big boy job net review, but they knew how to make you feel right at home. I Got a grate vibe from them and went with YMCo even though I got an off from SWS as well.

Although no longer young, Young's Market is in high spirits. Founded in 1888, the company claims to be one of the oldest continuously operated companies in the US. Age aside, it brokers and distributes a slew of name brand alcoholic beverages to accounts primarily in the Western US. Young's Market sells a stable of wines and spirits for Bacardi and Brown-Forman, among many domestic and foreign distillers and winemakers. In California it delivers wines from Brown-Forman's Sonoma-Cutter Vineyards; it also handles imported beers. Subsidiary Better Brands operates in Hawaii... More
