I worked at ZANOX.de as an intern (Less than a year)
ZANOX is fantasticaly located in Paris, in the buoyant SIlicon Sentier area. The relatively reduced size of the enterprise in France (around 60-70 at the time) ensured a quick integration in the skilled and friendly crew of Zanoxees. The working atmosphere was great, studious but focused. The advertisers were (at the time) quite "premium" (leading French and world-class brands), which helped me to get "on the field" training. The variety of publishers that Zanox is working with helped me to get a great amount of contacts within quite different types of publishers.
The relatively low wage was a bit limited to live in Paris. The growth of the business of the company was not really enthuasiasting compared to different (behavioural, for example) new advertising technologies. The lack of career perspective in a really horizontal organization.

Getting an Interview

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ZANOX.de (London, England (UK)).
3 stages - telephone interview, face-to-face interview, final stage interview with presentation. Telephone interview Performed by HR, filtering out unsuitable candidates. Know the company, understand their products and what they do, common terminologies, competitors and so on. Standard questions include stengths/weaknesses, what will you bring to the company, what do we do, etc. Face-to-face interview With existing TSE & a global account manager. More detailed questiong about the company and history, products and competitors, terminologies, what you think the role involves. Also a check to see how well you would fit in the company, so just be yourself. Do your homework!!! Final stage & presentation Presentation topic given to you, do your research, make it slick and practice, practice, practice. With the two interviewers from the previous face-to-face. More questions about the company and the role, though more technical. Assessing your knowledge of the theory, practices and technology behind affiliate marketing and what Zanox themselves use. Short practical assessment at the end.
