PR professionals are attracted to ZENO Group for the opportunity to learn, grow and work closely with our senior team and clients. At ZENO, we pride ourselves on creating excellent work for our clients in a culture that’s collaborative, fast and fun. We look for people who are passionate about their work - creative, fearless, innovative– to join the GREEN MACHINE! If you thrive on a creative challenge, are looking for lots of growth potential and want to have some fun along the way, then we are looking for you.
FEARLESS PURSUIT OF THE UNEXPECTED
We defy conventional labels. Converged at the core, the way we create strategy and develop ideas is holistic, and we are tapped into the cultural heat of the day.
As so many areas of public relations are being redefined beyond media relations, we think holistically.
As clients want to be agile in how, when and where they communicate, we maintain a single profit and loss account globally to ensure we focus on the job rather than where revenue sits.
As the power of storytelling increases and clients want to create emotional responses from their audiences, we see the bigger picture – the intersection of brand and reputation.
We’re an agency ideally built for the challenges of today – and tomorrow. Mid-sized, yet global. Grown-up, yet relentless in chasing results. Audaciously creative, yet pragmatic in applying our thinking.
In many ways, we’re the best of both worlds. Agile and entrepreneurial in how we work, yet big enough to handle the largest and most complex assignments. Structured so that all clients benefit from persistent creativity and the direct, daily involvement of our most senior people.
The entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of Zeno Group was instilled in us by our founder Daniel J. Edelman. Our Edelman roots have taught us that anything is possible, and that attitude continues to be one of our guiding principles. We are fiercely independent, giving us the control to wrestle with a changing world of opportunity and reinvest in our business.

I have been working at Zeno Group (Less than a year)
Zeno is an amazing company. It's the type of culture you'd expect at a startup but it has the backing and resources of a large company. This is the kind of place you really feel like you can make a big impact. The company, while global, is still small and is going through an exciting period of growth. Zeno is the kind of place you can raise your hand and leadership will let you run with it. In addition to the great people and great culture, the benefits are also great! For example, in addition to a generous amount of PTO and paid holidays Zeno offers a Zenofit program which reimburses you up to $60 for a "stress relieving activity" whatever that means to you whether it's a mani-pedi, a gym membership, a pottery class. You can use it for whatever helps you feel balanced. It's so much better than the company paying for a gym that maybe not everyone uses.
PR is a high performing industry and one can expect to work hard when you're here. But at the same time this is a company that values work/life balance and allows you opportunities other firms wouldn't/couldn't. Will you sometimes work some crazy hours? Yes. But you will also get to work on some amazing things. If you want to work somewhere boring and just be a 9-5 and collect your paycheck every two weeks this is not the place for you. But if you're looking to be challenged while getting a chance to work alongside some of the smartest people you'll meet, then Zeno is the place for you.
Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing. The company is growing and it will be super important to maintain the amazing collaborative culture. Can't wait to see where this rocketship takes us!

Getting an Interview

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Zeno Group (Chicago, IL).
The process took a total of about two months. I was first offered a phone interview and then after passing the phone interview, I was invited in for an in-person interview. Before the interview, I had to complete a writing test at home where they had me write a pitch letter. It was a fairly simple process. Everyone seemed very friendly and I felt good about my interviews, but I was not offered the position.
