    Pros

    Great industry and our products are changing our patients lives in a positive way
    Highly competitive salary with the added bonus of living in a low cost of living area (NE Indiana)
    Personal development and growth opportunties are endless if you are willing to put in the hard work
    Surrounded by very bright and experienced co-workers that are dedicated to the company
    The culture is starting to change and the CEO appears to be dedicated to creating a healthier culture
    Willingness to provide the necessary resources to achieve our highest priorities (Quality Excellence, Trident, etc.)
    Bright future with the pending merger with Biomet

    Cons

    Vacation and holiday time is not as competitive as it was in the past
    Our systems and processes make it challenging to do our job efficiently. (i.e. expense reports, travel, purchase orders)
    Lack of diversity in management positions and no real desire from leadership to change it
    Quick to make decisions at the top but we want to execute before we've taken the time to do thoughtful planning
    Lots of red tape to get through to accomplish anything
    Decisions are made at the top levels of the company only

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be brave and willing to change the things that aren't working even if that means shaking up your leadership team. Stop being so conservative and try things we've never been wiling to try in the past. Changing the dress code recently despite an unwillingness in the past is a good first step. Talk to your employees - they have lots of ideas if you are willing to ask but more importantly to listen.
