Former Intern - Marketing Intern in Miami, FL

I worked at Zubi Advertising as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

-assigned mentors who are very helpful in the process
-assigned a project that you would get in real life and are in charge with other team members to complete full advertising plan
-really cool company culture, great vibe, awesome office space
-Just an overall great learning experience where we delved into market research, media planning and buying, experiential marketing, social media, making radio, print, digital ads

    Cons

-can be really tough on the interns, project taken very seriously and can be intimidating at time
-towards the end of projects you will be spending a lot of time in the office sometimes even till 1:00am
-not paid internship, but given a stipend at the end according to the final project can get up to $1000 each

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-love how management is very involved, maybe not be as intimidating to interns

I applied through other source. The process took a dayinterviewed at Zubi Advertising in March 2011.

    Interview Details

I was approached via LinkedIn by a woman from HR for a copywriting position in English. Except when I got there, it turns out that -- surprise -- they wanted me for a translation position instead. I still can't believe that they brought me in for one position and ended up telling me that I was there for something else, once I was in the interview room.
