Employee satisfaction is very important, as evidenced by the numerous "spirit" events they sponsor throughout the year. They also take a pulse of their workforce via surveys. The emphasis is on delivering exceptional service to their customers, and I believe they feel that the more the employees think they are taken care of, the better the employees will take care of the customers. There are many community investment opportunities to get involved in, and a lot of times you can participate during your workday.
Job postings are somewhat confusing. Zurich does encourage movement within the company and internal promotions, but sometimes it is difficult to evaluate transferrable skills based on the job posting site.

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Zurich North America (San Diego, CA) in August 2015.
The interview was conducted by panel of three people. They were very nice and friendly. I had just one interview. General interview questions. They want to see if you are the right fit. I didn't get any technical job related questions as they assume based on my resume and experience I know the job and I do.
