    I worked at Zycus full-time

    Pros

    As a software engineer, I was exposed to many new technologies and frameworks. Zycus will always encourage you to learn and implement your own ideas. Since it is a small company, you have a lot of responsibilities but at the same time you get to learn a lot which for a fresher is an ideal scenario. Always recognized for your work and the increments are pretty decent. Work life is brilliant. Scheduling is good. Come and go whenever you please. Very casual work environment.

    Cons

    Not many leaders or mentors . My managers were always busy and I had no team leads. As a fresher you need someone to tell you the best practices and mould you. Lack of organization. Anyone comes and tells you to make scripts or to fix bugs in certain applications. At times I had started certain new projects and had to stop it for a couple of months, start a new one and go back to the old one.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Have some more leaders for freshers maybe a team lead atleast. Fix/ freeze requirements and add a little more structure to the team.

    I applied through college or university – interviewed at Zycus.

    Interview Details

    It was long and tedious process. 1st round was the aptitude session from which around 20% candidates were selected. Next round was group discussion in which an open ended question was given for a debate.50% of the selected candidates where dropped and rest proceeded for personal interview. Personal interview included both HR and technical. Questions based on C were asked.
