I worked at boston redevelopment authority full-time (More than 3 years)

-Excellent Staff that is willing to help you in any way possible. -Fast paced activity for those that want to work hard and ask to be involved. -Great work/life balance -Interesting work is always being conducted from building design review, master planning of the city, managing and reworking the city's zoning code, to managing the development review process.

-Like most municipalities decisions can take a long time to be made -Lack of an established organization structure, employee processes and procedures, compensation plan, and most importantly a centralized culture for employees.

    Advice to Management

-Think outside of the box -Make thoughtful decisions faster

I applied online. I interviewed at boston redevelopment authority.

Was searching for internships right after college. Website was easily accessible from the City of Boston's job site. They had a lot of summer intern opportunities available. I got a phone call for an interview the day after I submitted my resume. They did a great job with contacting me and staying in touch leading up to the interview.
