The makers of the Roomba just got government approval for a robot lawn mower

It's been nearly a decade since the earliest whispers suggested iRobot, makers of the Roomba, were building a lawn mower. But we seem to be a bit closer to the future we were promised: the FCC has granted approval to iRobot to build a hands-free mowing-bot, Reutersreports.

    Pros

    Market leading consumer robotics products

    Cons

iRobot has split its focus between three distinctly different markets. It should focus its efforts on the consumer market.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at iRobot.

    Interview

3 Phone interviews and 1 full day interview. Process was fairly simple and pleasant with medium to difficult questions. Mostly scenario based questioning. The in-person interview was a very similar line of questioning to the phone interviews. Seemed like a bit of overkill and was redundant at times.
