Expect Way Too Much For What You Get Paid

Team Player (Former Employee) Oakland, CA

ProsPros? Don't think I can name any.

ConsThey make you learn stuff like you are a robot and give you tons of job responsibilities...like you are making decent money.

Advice to Senior ManagementEther pay better or stop expecting so much from employees.

Working with such a company can be rewarding at time, but good performance often goes unnoticed.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsEveryone for the most part started out at entry level. So they've all been there in a sense. Always someone willing to help, co-workers for the most part are great people.

ConsNot enough pay, long hours, weekends, some customers on the phone aren't the nicest people in the world.

Advice to Senior ManagementWages need to be adjusted.

Lots of stress for little pay. Difficult market and tight profit margins.

    Location Manager (Current Employee)

ProsGood resume fodder if you want experience in warehouse management, inside/outside sales, and auto parts troubleshooting. You can learn a lot about the automotive industry if you keep your eyes and ears open.

ConsFranchise owner seemed stressed all the time from local competition, 1-800-Radiator's Corporate agenda and low profit margins. This stress trickled down and created a difficult work environment. There was no moral or financial incentive to go "above and beyond" (other than personal pride).

Be prepared to drive a ton

    Field Sales Representative (Current Employee)

ProsWork is done at the end of the day, dont have to think about it too much after you have gone home.

ConsWAY too much driving, maybe we just had a large territory compared to most but I drove over 20,000 miles last year just for work, over 40,000 when I include the commute and non work activities.

Advice to Senior ManagementDont just implement what you think is the best idea, actually listen to feedback from franchisees. Oftentimes individual areas dont fit the corp 'norm' of how things should operate.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
