    Very easy job taking phone calls for customers all day

    Before Farmer's came in and bought 21st, it was a dream job. The department I used to work at has been dissolved for 4 years now and I still think about the great pay, people and benefits. It was a good place. Too bad Farmer's had to come in and change the landscape. :-(

    I worked at 21st Century full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Pay was based on experience and education level which was fair. Overtime was available if you wanted it. Co workers were awesome and customers were usually pleasant.

    Cons

    Management either has no experience or so much seniority that they think they do whatever they want. Rules are arbitrary and don't apply to everyone. The schedules as they are now are terrible and were changed partly to avoid paying a shift differential. Good people come and go and the horrible ones stay. Very difficult to get time off in a call center environment.

    Supervisors should be chosen more carefully and should be able to demonstrate the duties assigned not just talk a good game.

    Pros

    Great co-workers, lots of overtime available, uncapped commission structure, good benefits and easy to schedule vacation.

    Cons

    No advancement opportunities, They cut back on cost by going as far as taking away our free coffee lol.

    Keep doing what your doing and always listen to what your employees have to say. We can all make this company a better one.

    If you ask 4 different people the same question, you'll get 4 different answers. Very inconsistent.

    Cons

    Computer systems suck and are always freezing. The systems are very old.
    You are a Farmers employee, but since you work for 21st century you don't quite feel included in the Farmers family

    The female call center supervisors need to stop gossiping and do some work. The male supervisors are awesome! The site managers are very professional and caring.

    They treat you like kids and they are not fair...Different things are done for different people..Its just black and white sometimes that grey area needs to be shown...we all put our pants on one leg at a time.
