    Group X Instructor - Yoga

Current Employee - Group Fitness Instructor in Mountain View, CA

I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Scheduling is very flexible for instructors. The community of instructors tend to be very helpful when classes need to be subbed. Students are usually pretty beginner but will follow class pretty well.

    Cons

Pay rate is a bit lower for yoga than at studios. No yoga props or equipment for student use. There is a lot of variation from one instructor to another, and students tend to be very beginner.

    Cycle Instructor

Former Employee - Cycle Instructor in Mountain View, CA

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people look forward to training with talented instructors. This position is rewarding, motivating, and challenging. You need to be able to think on you feet, communicate well with people, and appreciate constructive criticism.

    Cons

The most challenging part of this position is when equipment is not working. These situations require a positive attitude and tenacity which are important traits to develop anyway.
