Advice to Senior Management
Upward feedback was not taken seriously by leadership at all. Need to realize that the people who work need to be heard too in order to ensure the company has a great working environment.
Pros
Good Projects, down to earth people, collaborative environment
Cons
Long hours, not enough analyst support for associates
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure Associates are not stuck producing 200 slides a week for nothing
Pros
One of the best reasons is Friendly culture without hyper competitive people. Another good thing is their recent focus on work life balance.
Cons
Pretty average sr. management capabilities. Strategy projects are usually handled pretty badly. Accepts projects even if not within their strong area.
Advice to Senior Management
- More focus on retaining good people
- More focus on creating strong ICs for strategy projects
- More focus on creating a structured thought process

Little collaboration with other offices to leverage worldwide presence.

Pros
Kearney is a terrific place to learn. Good people are welcomed and used in roles they can grow and direct themselves. The firm is full of very talented and driven people and the brand is well respected, particularly within supply chain.
Cons
work-life balance isn't high on the agenda and this is a very personality led business. For the best leaders, and there are some terrific ones, read good time - for the worst read frustration, unreasonable expectations, over-selling, under resourcing etc.
Advice to Senior Management
None. The firm's successful.
Pros
There is a good mix of different types of projects : strategy, organizational, operations
Cons
Quality of the different offices is not homogenous. Some offices are very procurement-oriented. The firm is not yet big enough to compete with larger consulting firms.
Advice to Senior Management
Have a longer-term vision of consultant development.
Make teams be proud of the firm.
Inspire and reaffirm the values of the firm
Pros
firm is improving various things internally to make it a better place to work
Cons
we are not bold enough to make big bets on things that could be game changers
Advice to Senior Management
go big or go home
Pros
There is a lot of scope to learn about retail strategy as Kearney is very strong in this area in India.
Cons
Incredible amount of politics that goes on, some senior managers lack integrity, which reflects in their interaction with clients and junior employees. Some lateral hires from L&T are not professional at all, and unfortunately enforce a climate of fear, that prohibits employees from doing their best and encourages them to look at other opportunities.
Advice to Senior Management
Have some feedback processes so that the Kearney employees can communicate information to the partner level without fear of being targeted by senior-mid management.
