Pros
Interesting and very capable people, good mix of projects, opportunity to work on some challenging but very rewarding cases and to make a real difference for our clients
Cons
Performance evaluation process is not transparent or merit based; it very much depends who you worked with and how influential they themselves are within the firm
Advice to Senior Management
More ambition and strategic thinking in industry and functional focus, better marketing of the brand name will be beneficial, more focus on attracting the best from school recruiting
Pros
Great global network, high responsibility and room to grow, partners really trust and respect even junior staff
Cons
Zero work-life balance, and compensation is 20-30% lower than that at comparable firms
Advice to Senior Management
Fix work-life balance and compensation, but great job otherwise
Pros
Great people to work with is the biggest advantage. And nice office, too. Challenging environment. Good opportunities to work internationally. Training availability.
Cons
Working long hours - not always necessary - some people just have this stupid mindset that you have to sit until it gets really late.
Advice to Senior Management
Think more about people on lower positions. If you want to grow, you need employees who want to stay with the firm.
Pros
- Collaborative & supportive environment
- Great quality & group of people
- Top tier clients
- High quality work
- Global mobility
Cons
- Work life balance
- Long hours
Pros
Is a great company to work for because of its recognition in Operations Management Consulting.
Cons
The leadership team is usually very good although there are some leaders (VP level) that do not have any people skills at all. These people are the ones that ruin companies like ATK. I had a very bad experience since I was unlike to enter a business unit that has a VP that treats employees very badly: do not have respect for other, is not worried about your career development, would not give positive feedback for his employees to become better...
Advice to Senior Management
It is a pity that these kind of managers exist in a great company like ATK. These kind of VPs are only, if they are, bringing money to the business but I guess that the consequence of these is that people with great talent end up leaving ATK because they do not want to be treated with complete unfairness and disrespect.
Pros
People, work culture, projects and clients, work life balance, training, feedback and mentoring
Cons
travel, airports, power point, Access
Pros
We're a global management consulting firm that still has the environment of the smaller firms, where you can have visibility and make a difference.
Cons
We are still working on building scale and finding our way to establish more senior client relationships and sustain growth.
Advice to Senior Management
We do very good work for our clients. We can communicate more broadly about the work we do and the results we bring for our clients.
Pros
Good Pay.
Lots of learning
nice people
Cons
Travel
not enough strategy work
sourcing work still
Advice to Senior Management
Expand recruiting at more MBA schools
Pros
The people are smart, down to earth, and hardworking. Most partners value your time and input.
Cons
Lack of growth strategy. Not sure where the firm is going
Advice to Senior Management
Execute on growth strategies
Pros
Great consulting firm to work with, even though after a while the typical projects tended to be monotonous and sourcing focused. If you aligned with the right people, you can get some amazing projects.
Cons
Was too political when I worked there, it seems to have changed now. There are a few bad apples in the leadership but are untouched for some reason or another.
Advice to Senior Management
Take care of the good employees and the employees will take care of you.
