    Terrible quality of a company

Current Employee - Fashion Consultant in New York, NY
Current Employee - Fashion Consultant in New York, NY

I have been working at A'gaci

    Pros

    - 41% discount , cool clothes ( that's probably it)
    - co- workers are cool
    - nice job for a girl or guy 16-19 years old nice pocket money

    Cons

    - they don't remember your breaks , you have to keep asking them
    - too much drama within upper Managment , too messy
    - you have to wait 30 days from the day you're hired to receive the 41%
    - dress code. No one hits bottom sneakers , no nose rings hoops only studs. No blue denim. But color jeans are cool
    - breaks are short 30 minutes is terrible 10 mins discusting
    - the company has a lack of trust within the associates e.i if you're on register you call a manager for a return , 50$ & $100 bills so they can expect it like we're dumb or something we call a manager for a return as well. If it's busy the customers gets mad it's annoying. Feels like you're babysat.
    - if a manager promises you an higher position they're probaly telling you something you wanna hear. Because it's false information.
    - too much drama for a new company
    - they're so into customer service having you nag the customer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please consider your associates as people. If you don't know anything when we ask a question don't lie , because it makes you and the company look terrible. Tell the district manager Eddie to re consider the Managment he hires. They're too messy. Too much tea is spilled. And tell Managment don't make plans/promises you can't fulfill. Tell Mr.Won he company need to be more trustworthy within the associates. This come at is just terrible. I will be quitting soon (:

I have been working at A'gaci part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    - decent pay
    - good way to exercise communication skills
    - nice discount of 41%

    Cons

    HA ! WHERE DO I BEGIN !

    - cocky managers
    - 10-15 minute breaks? Sorry full time or part tome we deserve a lunch !
    - Co-workers stealing sales
    - Sales goals? Who made up that idea....big mistake !
    - Gossip, competition, cocky girls...its high school all over again !
    - bad closing hours....i guess being a girl walking home alone after 11pm on these Chicago streets is just fine with everybody....don;t worry I'll invite to my funeral when something actually does go wrong.
    - Fix the dress code. They are trying to dress us like old ladies when we are all ages 18-25

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to appreciate your employees and stop being cocky.
Address manners in a professional way not like a high school popular girl trying to bully the little people.
    Be more considerate.

I worked at A'gaci part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    - okay discount.
    - mostly cool coworkers.

    Cons

    - horrible upper management
    - little to no hours if you weren't a favorite of the managers..but if you were well liked, you got all the hours.
    - lots of theft
    - coworkers would steal your sales (i.e girl at the cash register would put all the sales under her name because she could)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more professional management. Walking around the store singing all the time is NOT considered professional.
Treat employees like they actually matter especially if they work their butt off each time they come to work.

    Pros

    Reasonable compensation
    the culture is fun

    Cons

Poor organization in managing the floor
the mall closed at (;30 but due to poor floor control we leave at 2 am to about 4 am in the morning

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at A'gaci part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Once you get to a certain point in you time there, you get the opportunity to learn how to handle the register and the shoe department, which are a whole lot better than working in the dressing rooms and greeting

    Cons

Constant firing and quitting employees, short-staffed, sometimes catty co-workers who aren't interested in getting to know you or befriend you. Also, some customers are horrible, as in most customer service jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better loss prevention policies, better training programs, keep better care of clothes

    Pros

Cute clothes, decent discount, awesome associates lots of hours available cute shoes lots of opportunities to make sales and get more hours

    Cons

managers stress each other out which stresses associates out. never any time given to train fcs properly. store is too new and store manager doesnt know what shes doing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

the store manager needs to delegate more. let co managers and floor sups do their jobs give them to the time to do them!!!!!! register manager had so much tasks given to her and she was the only person on the registers she didnt have time to do it all. shoe manager had no people and no time to do anything. BE MORE SELECTIVE IN YOUR HIRING AND YOU WONT LOSE GOOD PEOPLE its a good store dont freak out when sales arent made its so new

    Pros

Only pro was the 46% discount which they changed I heard.

    Cons

The management sucks* Their customer service is awful, I have never seen a store go down hill so fast. I will NEVER shop there again. The company does not care about you, and there is NO room for growth in the company, they rather promote external then people who have been there for years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Actually care about your employees and customers.

I worked at A'gaci part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Discount is 46% for employees
    Discount is 40% for seasonal
Discount is 20% for friends family
    Meet great people as coworkers
    Great Fashion
    Growing Company

    Cons

Very bad pay the company increases clothing prices but employees don't receive raises. Company sets high sale standards with little to no reward.
    Security is racist

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mr. Jon Won sits on his behind playing Candy Crush telling his employees quotes of the day, yet we still don't receive a yearly raise. Get it together. Management needs to watch their LP words better and teach them not to profile people. If they did that maybe the merchandise loss wouldn't be so high.
