Enjoyed my time at AAA - great coworkers and customers

I worked at AAA Colorado full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    promoted quickly
    excellent training
    friendly coworkers
    customer interaction
variety of positions in office - general member assistance, travel product sales, insurance, travel packages, car sales

    Cons

All training was done at the headquarter office in Denver, CO no matter what your home office was. Driving from Boulder, CO to Denver, CO wasn't that bad as long as it wasn't snowing/sleeting and they did cover mileage.
6 Day work weeks and the shifts on Saturday were only a half day, so it interrupted weekend travel plans for only a few hours of work.

They are far behind the curve in Tech and the Management has no interest in what really matters for the better.

    Pros

The brand name AAA. Not much more.

    Cons

Management has no heart or soul. No interest in any input and does not have patience for any challenges or change. Phone system (GOOD LUCK)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you have a turnover in one department (TRAVEL CENTER). It's time to look at the management of said department for reasons to unhappy employee's. But you would need someone willing to be honest with themselves and the reasons. Not going to find it here. One word (ROBOT).

I worked at AAA Colorado full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    a one hour lunch break

    Cons

Every other week you work half a day on Saturdays, which brings you in the office 6 days a week.
So they don't have to pay you overtime, you work half a day during the week.
Not a good work-life balance. It was exhausting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always negative support, comments, feedback, etc. I felt beat down. No one can work like that. Had to run, not walk away from there.

    Pros

    Co-workers
AAA is a great brand, but awful management behind the brand..

    Cons

Managment had terrible people skills, was aware of the 1980 technology but still blamed the agents for not
answering the phones. The customer service skills of the Mid managment was so 1980's, she needed to go
    back and get some skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees, the way you would want to be treated, and start living in this century!!!!
