I have been working at AAA Mid-Atlantic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company supports and encourages a positive culture. They provide training, technology, support services and ongoing communication. Management wants employees to be successful and for us to be here for a long time. There are a lot of long term employees here and there appear to be plenty of growth opportunities. This company continues to grow its AAA members by at least 1% every year. That is amazing in this time of cutbacks and diminishing memberships and subscriptions.

    Cons

Sales positions are very challenging. They are commission based with a small base that diminishes over time. It is pay for performance.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing with positive and consistent communication. Ensure that all steps of the onboarding process are completed in a logical order, especially with email and technology access.

I worked at AAA Mid-Atlantic part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, flexible hours with weekend work. Lots of opportunities to grow within the company and they are located all over the United States so if you ever move or have a problem you can transfer easily.

    Cons

Often not enough work, would sit for hours with nothing to do but wait for the phone to ring or someone to walk in the door. Potential for very good bonuses every month, but insanely hard to obtain them, especially with the low walk in and call rate.

    Pros

Great pay, great perks to job including travel DISCOUNTS (most perks for travel agents have been substantially cut worldwide

Constant pressure to meet all goals even ones not pertaining to the job you were hired for. For example, if you're a travel agent, you must also PRESSURE clients to get the AAA credit card and an auto insurance quote.
