Pros
It provides good benefits and believes in work/life balance. When I had my job there, my commute was 15 minutes!
Cons
Constant reorganization! It was difficlut to work when you know you may get laid off along with many others!
Advice to Senior Management
The company needs to determine a strategy and stick to it. Constant reorganization will not provide world class customer service!
Pros
No overhead. Good benefits. Flexability in hours. Good compensation.
Cons
More support needed for agents.
Advice to Senior Management
More useful support for agents. Less conflict with service centers necessary.
Pros
A job with very minor benefits. Lots of layoffs, constantly, watch those around you be downsized, watch company beneifts such as pensions being eliminated. A job you will stay at for life as you have minor retirement benefits. Of course, you do keep accumulating work while on vacation so you have something to look forward to when you return.
Cons
No Roth 401K, pension plan eliminated. Virtually no retirement assistance from company despite claims made. Minor raises if at all. Company claims to be struggling, despite record profits and pay to management, though pensions are now gone. Nice.
Advice to Senior Management
offer empoyees 1/10th of management benefits/perks/pensions would be a great start
Pros
People are great. Work Life balance is respected. Cross functional sharing and partnering works in some areas.
Others want to work here.
Cons
Constant change. As with anywhere, there are mediocre leaders, good leaders and great leaders. The great ones have breadth and vision to see successes.
Advice to Senior Management
Let's get the mediocre and good leaders skilled up to be great leaders. Great leaders are inspiring to subordinates, peers and upper management. Continue to grow these skills.
Pros
Very good atmosphere, it feels like those in charge care about their employees.
Cons
Not growing at the rate I would like to see
Advice to Senior Management
MSC needs to grow faster
Pros
401k
Benefits- Name Brand reputation
Cons
Too many changes by consultants that don't know what's best but get a big pay off then leave to the next company. Leaving AAA in no better shape
Advice to Senior Management
Should have never changed the parts that weren't broke! Customer relation is what built the strong name brand. Changing procedures too frequently is like a big race leading now where.
Pros
Great employee health and retirement benefits
Cons
Undergoing massive change and everyone is looking out for number-one (especially at the top)
Pros
Best reasons to work for AAA NCNU would be in the economic area we seem to be paid fairly close to the average and the benefits are good.
Cons
Management is a VERY BIG issue--the favoritism is just overwhelming from promotions to allowing individuals to skate by with not following the procedures. Funny after reading all the reviews here that it seems very typical that AAA has allowed Management to have free reign on running departments inappropriately. There are things that are "looked" the other way when other companies by now would have fired an employee. Understood that there are "dramatic" situations within every company however not as bad as this. If I would have known this company was ran like this I would have never interviewed.
Advice to Senior Management
There should be Manager training sessions periodically on how to treat employees fairly because obviously that is something they missed!
Pros
A very team oriented set of employees, from senior management to the little guy, they take everything with the utmost of care and attention.
Cons
Working with any set of people, there are the obvious bad consequences that come with team dynamics. Not everyone will always get along and it is tricky in any workplace to find a balance between the ego and the objective side of any issue.
Advice to Senior Management
They are doing the best they can. They really do listen and take the effort to fix things.
Pros
people are not always the top focus
Cons
communication has mixed messages, especially during times of change
