Current Employee – been working at AAA NCNU – Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for less than a year
Pros – AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah is a great company that really cares about the communities it works in. I’m happy I joined a company that isn't only interested in the bottom line, but is focused on doing the right thing for its members. It’s also rare to work for a company where you frequently have opportunities to directly engage with the CEO, talk about the organization and ask specific questions.
Cons – The dichotomy of working for a 100-year-old start-up can be tricky to navigate.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to keep lines of communication open and continue to improve IT processes.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at AAA NCNU – Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time
Pros – Stable company and good compensation; initially a really good team and what seems like good strategy and an excellent product that we all know and love
Cons – Organization is in constant shift; big decisions are made in what feels like willy-nilly fashion. Absolutely no effort to retain their best people. Politics are above everything else, which makes it really hard to get any work done.

Current Employee – been working at AAA NCNU – Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – - Decent pay and benefit
- Strong brand
Cons – This is a highly stressful place to work (particularly in HQ). Layoffs have become a standard business practice, leaving few employees to handle the workload. 12-14 hour days are par for the course. Massive turnover at the highest levels of the company indicate a serious problem at the C-level.
Advice to Senior Management – The board needs to get a deeper understanding of the long term costs for achieving short term profits.

Former Employee – worked at AAA NCNU – Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for less than a year
Pros – The people- Rank and file folks- examiners- really nice people Shame they are being treated like cows led to slaughter.
Cons – As mentioned before there is an executive bubble- there is also a mid management bubble. Company is passing down a cult like mentality and those who do not conform are to be cast out. Claims examiners are hindered from doing their actual job of adjusting claims by the customer service overkill. Adjusters are more like customer service reps or phone operators.
Advice to Senior Management – Dump the current que system. In the long run you are costing more money then what the examiner are paying out now to just meet closing goals. Allow adjusters to be adjusters and let them find samvings.

Former Employee – worked at AAA NCNU – Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Name recognition of the brand for ERS.
Cons – In my three plus years with the club, why have there been a good amiunt of times (4 at least) of reogrinzation of middle to upper managers? Too may times in a short time frame.
Advice to Senior Management – Wake up and smell the roses, in the guidance of the field level employees.

Former Employee – worked at AAA NCNU – Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for more than a year
Pros – Employees and Management work for the members.
Compensation competitive
Benefits fair (except PTO in the first 5 years)
Cons – Management would rather lay staff odd than actually manage them effectively
Executives out of touch with rank and file - there is an "executive bubble" and you dare not burst it
Dated and limited revenue model - when is the last time you needed a car towed in Northern California?
Unable to form an effective web team that the executives will trust and support
Unable to address the outdated model and poor presentation of Travel and Discounts
Unable to influence a truly awful online Insurance Management experience
Advice to Senior Management – Culture is not changed with talk, you need to demonstrate a flat culture - not an elitist one.
Invest in the web. You are far behind and you will need to invest heavily to catch up.
Train managers to manage people instead of promoting strong individual contributors as managers.

Current Employee – been working at AAA NCNU – Northern California, Nevada & Utah
Pros – The transparency of the leadership team. The positive work environment and the great team of people that I work with.
Cons – Not much to report here. We're in growth mode so there have been some changes but overall, I think change is good.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep sharing the overall company objectives, goals and values. It really helps to know these things and it's motivating to hear about the positive things that are going on in the company and the positive direction the company is going in.

Current Employee – been working at AAA NCNU – Northern California, Nevada & Utah full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Since the split from AAA Insurance Exchange, the leadership team has created a culture of transparency, discipline and empowerment. I am proud to be a part of the team.
Cons – Some leadership changes recently. Hope that it helps in the long run.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to be very transparent with the average employee. There is no such thing as too much communication.
