Abbtech Really Cares About Their Employees

    (Current Employee)

    Pros-Woman Owned Small Business
-Cares about it's employees both Internal and Contractors
    -Not a Cheap Company
-Offers lots of training and incentives
    -Work hard, play harder environment
    -Wants to see everyone succeed

Cons-the only thing i can think of is the strictness on time and tardiness.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement needs to keep doing with they're doing and instilling great values and care into it's employees. Keep setting the example and setting the standard for other businesses in the recruiting and staffing industry who treat their employee's like crap. You reap what you sew :)

My experience with ABBTECH is excellent.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsABBTECH provides temporary positions that can lead to full-time positions, they provide a flexible environment and the culture is a positive one.

ConsThey could use more help, they are very busy. Continue to improve communications within the organization. Set us some type of program that allows/encourages employees to give kudos to others.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep communicating and letting us know what is going on. Allow employees to grow into other positions and future leadership opportunities within the company.

    Personalized consulting experience without micromanagement

    Junior Program Officer (Current Employee)
    Washington, DC

ProsAbility to work for great companies and federal agencies like U.S. Department of State; Feel like regular full-time employee - no micromanagement on part of contract firm; competitive pay on par with government civil service; very personalized attention and immediate response to questions

ConsLack of federal benefit equivalents like loan repayment and full travel subsidies; little room to grow professionally

Advice to Senior ManagementIn general, keep up the great work!

Contractor who worked in-house for federal government web communications.

    Editor/Writer (Current Employee)
    Washington, DC

ProsFlexible, weekly pay, very friendly staff, easy to work with, organized

Consjob security - positions are short-term or temporary contracts, benefits package is not that great, no paid vacation, better to consider them as a transition company (unless you find a temp to perm contract)

    It's an ok place

    Recruiter (Former Employee)
    Sterling, VA

ProsIt's a nice building. Good offices and the people are generally nice. Benefits package is pretty standard and it's a very respectful environment. Good training as well.

ConsIt's a family owned business so to move up you have to move on. Their starting pay is not very good. There are pro's but overall it simply is "ok." It's not a career move. Abbtech is just a job.

Advice to Senior ManagementNot really much advice I can give. It's a tough industry and sometimes they go after more than they can chew and employees suffer but that's what companies have to do sometimes to grow.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
