To gain security experience if wanting to be knowledgeble about security/law enforcement.

No pay raises and very low hourly pay theres no advancment within the company.

Give employees evalutions for pay raises

They are nation wide,you can find a job just about anywhere, and they offer a variety of related services.
Cons
Poor relations between management/supervisors and labor.Training is almost non-existent,communication and support from superiors to labor is poor at best.Management/supervisors ignore suggestions and concerns from labor employees.No benefits,low pay.

Interact with the general labor more ,show them some respect.We are all on the same team,without one there is no other.

* In a bad part of town, be watchful when working late hours or leaving late at night
* Mgmt. direction is sour, downright disrespectful, and opportunities for advancement are limited
* Employees input on project work is limited
* Depending on the Mgmt. you get, they may not be competent, or have the knowledge or background to understand what you communicate to them, especially if it is technical in nature
* Working environment is stressed, tense, & emotionally distasteful.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat employee's with more respect, value opinions more.
Move building to safer part of town like galleria or downtown, and not just focus on paying cheap rent. Traing Managers on how to act professionally, cordially, and positively within their teams.
Root out Managers who have been known to have issues in the way they treat their employee's.

There are great opportunities for advancement in responsibility and compensation. There are also great learning opportunities. There are a few great employees who provide great support to others.
Cons
Upper management has poor leadership skills. Little respect is shown for employees. Extremely poor work/life balance for most management. Mentally unhealthy work environment.
Advice to Senior Management
Show more respect to employees, make more equitable decisions, and work harder at creating a positive work environment. Listen more.
Pros
Talent is rewarded here and in this economy ABM is a fundamentaly strong company
Cons
customers are often fooled by competitors into thinking that our size doesn't matter and that they are getting the same value for their money

Continue improving systems and innovating till it hurts, then innovate some more
