I worked at ABM Industries (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great environment with a dynamic group of co workers with people with masters degrees to just high school education, everyone is so different. The work settings you are bound to work with such an array of people you will learn so much about your interpersonal skills

    Cons

Use harsh cleaning chemicals. I'd prefer focusing on health! Some employees have no idea about toxicity of products used. Needs employee education

    Pros

Challenges of using your talent to contribute to the bottom line.

    Cons

A large organization stretched across many locations makes it difficult to stay in touch. However with a newly appointed CEO major strides are being made to share information via the web so we are in touch with what is going on currently in the Company.

    Advice to Management

Keep growing in the area of communications to employees and in community involvement.

  9. Worked for them at North Florida Medical Regional as Courtesy Patrol and then suddenly got switched to Valet.

    Pros

Generally easy positions. Hospital environment, gives you great hospital experience. Can be a door to working in other hospital positions. Great if you really like to feel helpful to people in need.

    Cons

Lack of consistency. Misleading hiring staff. Hired me as a courtesy driver, which was to be driving around the campus in a security cart picking people up who needed rides. They changed my position to valet out of no where.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire people and then change their position to something completely different for your own convenience. I had many issues that were neglected by management.
