    Pros

Very easy work for the job, surrounded by nice staff at my level. Did promote from within when possible, which was 2 times in 2 years.

    Cons

Extremely low pay. Often taken for granted by upper management, and once risen to certain level no growth available because each location had no contact with others.

    Pros

Large company to advance in many locations. Overtime, when needed.

    Cons

Unreasonable amount of work with small crews.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at ABM Industries full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits overall. And most of the non-management people are good people. Just working hard like everybody else.

    Cons

Upper management doesn't do a good job of communicating with employees or their customers. Company doesn't want to spend money where it's needed. Always looking for the cheap way out. Pay scale is LOW. Don't expect to be happy here if you're looking for $$$

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate better with your customers and take better care of your employees and maybe you'll keep more good workers and stop losing accounts.

I have been working at ABM Industries part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Although I am part-time, I still have the opportunity for full time benefits such as: insurance, 401K, and paid vacation/sick days.

    Cons

The hours for the shift can be a little odd, but nothing unmanageable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep it up.

I have been working at ABM Industries full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good pay and decent benefits.

    Cons

The "leaders" of the company are a total JOKE! They have zero leadership abilities except to embarrass and intimidate their employees.
I am always working late nights and weekends without a break or vacation.
There is an AVP that is a "piece of work" in his own right. He says that he's a "Motivational speaker and Fixer"; Yeah he's motivating most of all people that report to him to find another career path.

All of the smart ones have already left.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at ABM Industries full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The type of job you do they offer ok benefits

    Cons

You have to join the union (Teamsters911) and pay union dues every month for no reason because the union doesn't help the employees when they in need, the pay is cheap for what you do and put up with, management sucks and they power trip all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean management cause they are the problem, pay more attention to what employees have to say.
