    Pros

Excellent credit union to work for. Takes care of their employees. Good management would recommend to anyone looking for a place where you count.

    Cons

Only issue would be the cost of health insurance is very high for family's . The other concern is limited PTO when you begin.

    Pros

Really big on charity! Pays better than most of the large banks, and incentives for everything! Beget culture. Great potential, great to members.

    Cons

Too small, teller systems are too tedious, not maximizing potential in certain locations to get more business

    Advice to Management

Take note to the one location that had the biggest turnover

    Pros

Great company. Good benefits. Good pay for a teller

    Cons

No point in interviewing for promotions. They know who they'll hire.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees how YOU want to be treated.

    Pros

Small company that's growing. Banking hours. Pay is ok especially if you get the floating incentive. Yearly bonus.

    Cons

Pushy with sales. Hard to advance.

    Pros

Very nice co-workers and they really do care about staff here. CEO is active in the community and a genuine person.

    Cons

Very little empowerment to department managers or the VP's for that matter. Really just one person makes every decision in this credit union and it's not the CEO. It can take months before decisions get made. Turnover is very high for a credit union. ABNB has grown to $500 million but it is micro managed like a $100 million shop which runs off staff.

    Advice to Management

    Empower the staff

    Pros

Small credit union, most staff are very friendly. Decent benefits, nothing great but pretty good. The do seem to care about their employees.

    Cons

Salary is on the low side of the scale. Too many branches for the asset size of the credit union. Need more support in the home office.

    Advice to Management

Pick up the pay a bit, I have started looking for other options because the pay is just too low.

    Pros

    Great staff to work with.

    Cons

Low wages & not enough room for professional development.

    Advice to Management

    Keep workers motivated

    Pros

Coworkers are great. Get all federal holidays off. Work life balance is mostly good. Opportunity to learn about other areas if you choose.

    Cons

Systems don't talk to each other, making processes slow and inefficient. A lot of manual tracking. Communication with senior management & between departments weak.

    Advice to Management

Talk to front line staff about what they need and invest in systems that work together. Embarrassing when member says someone called them and you have no way of knowing who, what or why.

  10. Backward credit union

I worked at ABNB Federal Credit Union

    Pros

I can't even think of one thing

    Cons

Incredibly slow, ancient, lame interfaces that make the simplest transaction take forever. Also support is a joke. One person to answer questions in any given area so if that person is on lunch, both you and the customer have to wait patiently. There is also no real training so unless you have prior experience in exactly what you're applying for, you will be in a really bad situation.

  11. ABNB provides excellent member service, but to a disadvantage to their employees.

I worked at ABNB Federal Credit Union

    Pros

It is a very relaxed work environment, and all individuals are treated like family?

    Cons

The advancements in technology are slower compared to other bigger companies, which make individuals work a lot harder at tasks that can be completed more efficiently, quicker, and happier with a better use of technology.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest that they take feedback and opinions from lower level employees more serious, because these are the ones that usually deal with members on a day to day basis. Also, I would suggest that the senior management look into ideas that would bring in a bigger diversity of traffic to the different locations.
