    Pros

    Excellent pay and benefits package.

    Cons

Company needs to look at new innovative products in order to stay competitive in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Too many senior level executives. Increase the number of front line employees to ensure work is being done in a timely manner.

    Pros

Vacation policy is good. Pay is on par with the market.

    Cons

Too many VPs. Too many re-orgs.

    Advice to Management

Stop the re-orgs. Let people learn their jobs and become experts in their line of work.

    Pros

-Easy Job right out of college
    -Young employees in this department
    -Occasional free lunches
    -Benefits

    Cons

    -Dying Industry
    -Work you like a slave
    -Call Center Atmposphere
    -Poor Management
    -Micro-managed
    -Turnover is high
-Every call you make, every word you type, ever bowel movement you make will be monitored
-Don't bother building relationships with customers, as your base will be ripped apart in 6 months and your accounts will be redistributed.
-Team leads are never available when you need assistance. You are often left out to dry
-The finance department expects 5% overall growth and is willing to compensate $55k maximum per Inside Sales Rep. If you have a successful year expect to be moved in a new territory that does not perform well. They can not afford to have reps continuously hitting QUOTA. They will do everything in there power to make sure you are not getting paid out.

Bottom line: If you are actually interested in building a career in sales, don't expect to gain anything but a few years on your resume here

    Advice to Management

Trust employees and stop micro-managing them. Stop treating employees as number and value them for the work they do.

    Pros

This is a GOOD company, with even BETTER brands, but was best know for having the BEST people. I learned so much from my colleagues that influences what I do today.

    Cons

The business itself [as in the industry] can be brutal, but its worthwhile.

    Advice to Management

Recognize who you've got and treat them well. They are the face of everything you stand for.

    Pros

The Kettering office was overall a fun place to work. friendly employees, fun activities from time to time, lots of coffee selections, 401K match.

    Cons

ACCO purchased MeadWestVaco and made a bunch of layoffs. They are in a declining market with no hope to survive long-term. Don't really allow working from home.

    Advice to Management

Management cares about one thing... how much they sell to Walmart, Target, Office Depot, Staples. Get a descent website and for the love of God, kill the stupid Mead.com website. What a waste!

    Pros

Never apply at this company, lot of discrimination. You are only appreciated if you have been with the company for more than 5 years. You work there as an slave. They never appreciate your work effort. Never encourage you. Top management they don't know what the departments are doing. They don't care about regular employees.

    Cons

ACCO is the worse company to work for. if you try to complaint you will be fired immediately.
    Lot of discrimination.
You are not secure. Lot of lay offs every year and we are talking about 100s of lay offs

    Advice to Management

Boris and Tom please check on your employees. Don't let managers slave your employees.

  11. It was a great company but has seen decline over the past several years due to lack of innovation.

    Pros

The people are great but Management forgot how to make money.

    Cons

This business still has not merged even after more than two years. The culture clash is amazing. One side is a matrix the other pure hierarchy. If you work there - hope you never have to move backwards in time to the old command and salute organization that was once Mead.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to stop saving itself out of business and empower employees to generate cash.
