I have been working at ACS full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Easy for anyone to get hired.

    Cons

Easy to get hired- If you are a warm body who can use a keyboard they will hire you.
Some of the folks hired are so shady I wouldn't leave my bag at my desk when I went to the restroom.

Black mark on your resume - I couldn't find out why I couldn't find a new job after I left ACS. I encountered a former supervisor who was working for a placement company. She said many companies won't even invite you for an interview if you have ACS/Xerox on your resume. My current company had a moratorium on allowing former ACS employees.

Last minute schedule changes - Supervisor tried to write me up one time when they changed my schedule after I went home for the day and I wasn't notified.. After that I started screen shotting my schedule at the end of my shift. They tried two more times- each time I had a screen shot to prove they changed it after I left.

the IT director for our location used to monitor computers from home to see who was using them. Just one example of the extreme micromanaging.

I never was able to make above minimum wage despite providing excellent customer service. Before and since working at ACS I have had excellent reviews, raises and bonuses. I only knew of two people out of hundreds who made top level pay. Most made the lowest tier.

Unless you had perfect ratings on everything new hires got priority on scheduling over people who had been there.

The project I was on had me lying to callers. Not just denying rumours but outright lying about things that were being covered on national news.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit viewing your employees as liablity and start treating them as an asset. If you don't have employees you won't have a company. Make hiring good people a higher priority and provide better compensation to good employees so you can keep them.

Do Undercover Boss and see what is really happening, if you care enough to see how the company makes it's money on the backs of low level employees.

    I worked at ACS

    Pros

Enjoy the atmosphere and working along side others helping others.

    Cons

Upper Management does not promote those better fitted to manage lower level functions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be so quick to promote employees who try to dazzle and end up being a 90 day wonder.

I worked at ACS full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is decent for the area. The training is extensive and very well done. Supervisors are supportive.

    Cons

There is so much sales involved even with technical support. You have to pitch a new product or service on every call or you can get written up.
