    I worked at ACityDiscount full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Sales staff is a lot of fun to be around. Mostly ex-restaurant people. Also, their web programming guy is super-talented.

    Cons

    Family-owned business. Draconian management style. No room to breathe whatsoever. If your job requires independent thought, this is not the place for you. Very toxic.

    Advice to Management

    Stop berating employees in front of their peers (in person and on chat). Think about why micromanaging your top people may be the reason you're not growing. There are great books out there about nurturing talent and getting the best out of your people. I have been a general manager and I can tell you that a workplace directly reflects a leader's values. Your workplace is full of fear and insecurity. It's sad.

    Pros

    Company reps would bring breakfast and lunch sometimes HR manager was best part of ACityDiscount. Horrible, horrible place to work!

    Bad benefits Bad management Dirty, unsanitary workplace High turn over rate Employees consistently unhappy with the way they're treated by management

    Advice to Management

    Review the reasons why employees quit soon after receiving employment. Evaluate pay, attitudes, and common employee complaints. Treat people well, and you will receive the same treatment in return.
