    Pros

Great career paths and plenty of opportunities to make extra money through incentives and competitions. Very little micro management as long as you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. Awesome team to work with!

    Cons

There is some politics and favoritism as you see in any corporate role.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Good Benefits, great co-workers, sometimes fun job.

    Cons

You are at the mercy of some vice president

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When you have turnover at the VP level, do NOT assume that the staff they left behind is expendable. And if you lay people off, do not be surprised and upset when you find yourself competing with those same people in the field, and they are winning !!

    Pros

ADP is a solid company that will be around a long time.

    Cons

Politics. Plain and simple kissing ass is the most valued attribute at ADP. Flatter your manager or better yet his manager and you can be assured of a rapid rise through the ranks, regardless of all else. Accountability is unheard of. Most common tactic: promise the sky, then move to a different project before you promises fail to pan out.
Beware, ADP is the #1 provider of outsourced HR in the US. As a result they know every little trick to keeping payrolls and benefits down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Buy a dictionary and look up the word "merit." I don't think it means what you think it means.

Current Employee - Account Manager in Chicago, IL

    Pros

ADP has flexible schedules for some positions, which enhances work/life balances. The company offers a lot of opportunity for volunteering and charity work.

    Cons

Large workload and long hours. Management has problems balancing workload, so employees expected to pick up the slack. The company is slow to respond to feedback and the bottom line is more important than employee satisfaction. Certain business groups have low morale and distrust with senior management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

ADP needs to be more selective of management leaders and needs to support employees in a way that will build trust and satisfaction.
