    Pros

cutture.. fellow employees... benefits, health club, doctor on staff

    Cons

Management of Inside Sales starting at the top.. no leadership, favoritism, and not there otten

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

know who is working to get orders and order takers.. not there enough to know what is going on and sales suffered... best people are gone but they were not people that were brown nosing, they were working.....

I worked at ADP full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Coworkers at or below one's paygrade were helpful and established a sense of inclusion in the team that made working the job enjoyable.

    Cons

ADP management seems to be reluctant to recognize and deal with employee difficulties and reacts according to the level of the employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please recognize the need for work/life balance.

I worked at ADP full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Friendly coworkers, newly remodeled building, cafeteria.

    Cons

Poor communication skills, low pay, advancement is from department to department at the same pay level. Management is rude and not forthcoming with expectations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

All managers within the same department should be on the same page. With the same expectations and not undermine each other at every turn. Follow through with agreed upon training and continuous support.

I have been working at ADP full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Very financially stable company with conservative accounting policies that go a long way to ensuring stability

    Cons

That same conservative accounting means they respond quickly to economic pressures with layoffs. Additionally, about every 3 to 5 years, there is some sort of restructuring with job loss.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would love to see the walls come down from around each department, so it's less of a 'this is my territory' mentality and more of a 'how do we succeed together' environment.

I worked at ADP full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great place to work, Great benefits, Willing to train their employees as needed. ADP Dealer Services has been the best company for which I have worked.

    Cons

Changing development methodology has lead to a mandate that all Product Managers/Owners must be collocated with their development teams. This new policy was not applied equally across the board.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure new policies are equally applied to all affected employees.

    Software Engineering Intern

I worked at ADP as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great learning enviorment. My team consisted of people that have never used any of the specific technologies that ADP uses, nor have we ever dont web dev before. By the end of the summer we had created a working internal application.

Fulltime employees around us where happy to help, and overall it was a great experience.

    Cons

Product managers that don't know how to code arent always the best idea.
Scrum pretty much was just stand up meeting (however that could have been because they were less strict on us interns)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep premoting a collaborative enviorment

I have been working at ADP full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Large company with plenty of career growth potential (even without a college education), fair pay, overall very good benefits (including: pension, 401k, stock discount purchase plan, reasonable insurance and more) and the possibility of working from home. I've been with them 2.5 years, have gotten three raises and just received a nice promotion starting 1/2014...all with no college education. One of a few Fortune 500 companies that recognizes having a formal education is not "everything."

    Cons

Lots of management layers and they try to turn even the simplest stuff into rocket science.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove some of the big corporate stuff and get back to basics...but then many people would probably lose their jobs.

My experience was great at first, then the politics settled in and senior management turned out to be disappointment.

    Pros

Tuition reimbursement, onsite cafeteria and fitness center.

    Cons

Mid management is terrified of upper management. A lot of people think upper management makes poor decisions. A lot of people are fearful of their jobs.
