    Pros

    People are hard working, and there is a camaraderie against an organization with misguided upper management.

    Cons

    Management has very little talent, and a complete lack of empathy for employees. Salesman aren't given fringe benefits worth anything, and yet are barraged with needless meetings and mindless requirements the only impede their ability to earn a living. The benefits were reduced to nothing, from the only decent thing the company had to offer. The only good thing was freedom of choice, but then you are required to call into a manager like a 10 year old and describe in detail your activities.

    Advice to Management

    CEO fire yourself, and start a major purge of the useless money sucking middle management. Increase incentives to the sales force, and treat them better to alleviate your ridiculous turnover rate. Spend more on benefits for employees without salaries, or don't ask for any meetings when salespeople should be out earning a living.

    I worked at ADT Security Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    I worked with this organization for 3 years and hit stated goals and was promoted from Residential to Small Business Rep in the minimum time required for advancement. Their initial week of training was exceptional but continued training was quite poor.

    Cons

    When I was hired their sales quota/goal was based on closing 5 Self Generated orders and 50% of company generated leads per month. This goal was achievable but few representatives reached it. My greatest disappointment came in 2014 when management changed the sales quota three times, each time the number of self generated order quote grew, peaking out at 7 per month. The self gen quota was always the main focus of management and the primary bonus activator. Needless to say their was a great exodus of sales reps like me who lost faith in the company management. If you are living with your parents and you are in need of sales experience and toughening your ability to handle rejection then ADT Security Services will work for you but don't plan on making a survivable income, ever! Remember they use multi level marketing which means all those flyers your see in the mail are not for your benefit. They are from ADT Dealers who you will be competing with. They will be your strongest competitor and can charge much less for the same monitoring service and they can and do sell alarm components which are cheaper than what you will be able to sell. Plus ADT IS MAKING A TON OF PROFIT WHICH IS COMING RIGHT OUT OF YOUR POCKET. Therefore, don't expect this sales channel to go away, period!

    Advice to Management

    You manage the sales division with one focus - reduce the cost of sales. It might look good to the stock market but if causes great harm to middle managers and forces a huge turnover in sales representatives. The impact on your customers is very negative as well.

    I have been working at ADT Security Services full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Fun. I feel taken care of there. Good salary. I've always told me friends that ADT is a great place to work.

    Cons

    Some cultural issues. Tough to make it through entry level positions. Commission only sales jobs are not very attractive to talented people.

    Advice to Management

    Be radical. Need to license the ADT monitoring brand out to whoever wants secured electronic monitoring.

    I think the Benefits are Good. This does not include their pay.

    Poorly Managed; Employees Overworked and Grossly UNDER PAID

    Pay Frontline Employees much Better. Your turnover rate is too high-I am sure this is why

    Pros

    There's no best reason to work here honestly because the am administration lie so much about the position from the beginning and when you get in, it's not what they said it would... Their commission is a mess, they lie to customers as well about their products and that makes the sales rep look ugly.. Nothing about ADT is true.. I won't recommend any of my friends to work here. They even went as far as telling me they don't pay employees commission they earned when the employee quite. Don't get fool by their recruiter. Everything is a lie.

    Cons

    Their products don't sell at all.. You'll have to spend a lot to make less and sometimes nothing at all.

    Advice to Management

    Management just need to stop lying and do the right thing.

    Pros

    Huge organization with simple procedures and crowded but clear chain of command. Your job and expectations are clearly outlined and every resource from phone numbers for cold calls to marketing materials and presentation supplies are provided and available. A self-starter with drive and focus can make a great deal of money.

    Cons

    Sales Presentation is canned and must be delivered to every customer in the same manner. Performance driven from day. Hitting goals result in money but expectations also rise and the pace is fast. Once your Supervisor or his boss think you are not performing it's a rapid decline to the door.

    Advice to Management

    Give Sales Representatives some freedom in portions of the presentation.

    Great Team oriented work atmosphere along with Great benefits

    Cons

    Different sales team within company, including new resale and small businesses, their SGL team comp plan is sub standard to rest of company and actually cost you money as you have to pay out of pocket for business cards and marketing materials.

    Advice to Management

    Ought take a close Look into the possibility of combining the sales force or completely doing away with the SGL (Deavcon) group.

    un-capped commission structure, you get a base plus commission, top sales rep awarded with trip

    not a lot of upward mobility, no consideration for major life events such as birth of child or death of family member,

    Have to use your own car to get around ( no company car) provided.

    Get employees company cars. Take the pressure off your sales rep.

    Commission pay was excellent, good health care

    to many to list a lot of driving, no leads, must find all customers on your own

    Advice to Management

    give the sales rep leads from the customers who call in or inquire online to help them build their business don't sell everything over the phone and cut sales reps
