I have been working at AECOM as a contractor (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great opportunities, diverse range of projects, great people to work with for the most part. Management in the field very concerned about well being of the rank and file. Probably one of the best companies I have ever worked for.

    Cons

All great/good companies have their shortcomings. This one less than most. I can't really complain. If you're looking for a company with absolutely no issues whatsoever, good luck finding Camelot.

I have been working at AECOM full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunity to help build and grow with AECOM. We are still integrating and coming together as one company. For those that like to be a part of building something amazing- there are tremendous opportunities.

    Cons

If you do not like change- you might not like it here. If you were part of a smaller company that was acquired, you might not like the large Fortune 500 company we are today.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Looking forward to management changes with our new CEO.

I worked at AECOM full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great experience in the field, hands on learning, a lot of responsibility right off the bat. Great resources in the office as well, very helpful with making you comfortable in the cubicle (if that's possible), and in general very helpful nice people work here. Great benefits and rewarding work.

    Cons

Having to constantly record your hours for every little thing that you do. A lot of overtime, stressful work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A lot of time is wasted recording project-based hours for payment. Instead, encourage strong supervisor relationships with the employees.
