ConsNeed to take stock, say thank you and recognize the contributions of individuals on a regular basis.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to further develop manager people and communication skills beyond their technical area of expertise.

    Great experience entering the workplace

Water/Wastewater Intern (Former Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsAttentive, friendly office environment with a tight knit culture. As an intern, I was involved on five or six projects and was never forgotten. Every day was a new learning experience as opposed to just being the "CAD markup guy."

ConsThe office seemed to be losing it's great engineers to other companies due to lack of career mobility and compensation/benefits. If you have a good thing going, why let it slip away?

Advice to Senior ManagementPay the man.

Aecom was a contractor in the middle East; I loved the people, the pay and the contract I was on.

    Electrician (Former Employee) ‘Irāq (Yemen)

ProsThe overseas contract I was on provided a hard structure to live in, unlike my contract in Afghanistan with XXX. There was a grab-n-go and bedding was provided. If you did your job well, all was good; all was good with me.

ConsDue to circumstances of a drawback, I was RIF'ed at 8 months, but still received a prorated bonus, so even the con was a plus.

Great company that focusses on being the best

Senior Project Manager (Current Employee) Calgary, AB (Canada)

ProsIncredible projects, the very talent staff and true global experience and reach. Many talk of being global few achieve it. AECOM is a global powerhouse that attracts the best and brightest.

ConsChange is a constant. Some thrive and others never do. Not a company if you like to think parochially and you cannot collaborate.

Advice to Senior ManagementDrive shareholder value, keep explaining the strategy and how staff can contribute and staff alignment will be achieved

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
