    Pros

At first it was not that bad, the pay was good, & benefits accatble, very busy with a lot of new work.

    Cons

Aecom is telling us they are cutting our pay, taking away afew paid leave days, and doing away with retirement bennfits and cutting the workforce,

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect, stop micro-managing

    Pros

AECOM has a great group of people with a "Can Do" attitude. They are professionals to the max and do things right the first time!

    Cons

Unfortunately, when they bought URS and doubled in size, they did not take into consideration that they may have to make choices between the people who were loyal to AECOM before the purchase, and those who were loyal to URS. Some departments were eliminated - such as mine. When the dust settles though, they will be a force to be reckoned with!

    Advice to Management

Keep uour direct reports more informed.

    Pros

AECOM does a great job hiring the best people in their field.

    Cons

Leadership does not understand the cost and commitments of their initiatives. They do not hire enough people to get the job done correctly, are reluctant to spend money to bring a project up to speed and then end up closing the project and laying people off.

    Pros

You think you have a career

    Cons

You are just a pawn that gets nothing whilst the shareholders and the old boys club gets it all.

    Advice to Management

You are in it to win it in this Ponzi scheme

  7. Not bad, not great

    I worked at AECOM

    Pros

I was hired during internal IT infrastructure changes so my job duties varied and I gained plenty of experience. Was also able to work from home through the week, so that's cool.

    Cons

Since, I was hired during the changes, I knew my time there was limited. They ended up laying off and outsourcing the whole IT help desk team. Nothing negative to say about my experience, even though I do believe it was the wrong move.

Used to be a good company before the URS merger. Proud of its ethical reputation.

The annual list of Worlds Most Ethical Companies was published in March 2015. AECOM not on it. All references to the Worlds Most Ethical Companies taken off MyAECOM. Sends a bad message

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    Prestigious international projects, URS acquisition

    Cons

Company sets unrealistic project deadlines, resulting in subpar work, employee burnout and high turnover. Leadership turnover is extremely high, numerous Director, VP and above individuals have left the company over the last 24 months. The AECOM HR leadership average service is less than one year.

    Advice to Management

Review realistic deliverables and projects rather than meeting a quarter end number.
