Pros – AEG is such a huge company with a lot of potential. The groups they deal with and the events that they handle are by far the best in the world. If your goal is to work in an entertainment company AEG is number 1 for events.
Cons – Unfortunately the Upper management had no communication skills and lacked leadership. Hours were very long 18-20 hours a day and with little to no days off for the first 2 years i was there. We were not allowed any vacation, and employees were always paid late, usually months late. I feel as though you get lost in this huge company, and instead of being treated like an employee you are treated like a number. Office politics were always apparent and the overall environment was very stressful.
Advice to Senior Management – If management treated their employees more like people instead of machines they would have less turnover. We are the people that continue to make this company a success and we see little to no recognition. Communication is key to running a successful business and you lack this skill. AEG is such an AMAZING company I can only imagine how much more you could do if you treated your employees with a little respect.

I worked at AEG (Los Angeles, CA HQ)
Pros – The atmosphere is awesome - the concert tickets dont hurt either! The New York office is right in the middle of Times Square!
Cons – A small shared office with a lot of work load for the amount of people on site. Although Times Square is exciting its also difficult to get though the tourists!
Advice to Senior Management – In my experience my supervisor was extremely supportive and great at her job. Able to relate to any concerns that may arise.

Pros – fair pay, clear direction and feedback
Cons – commute to downtown LA, male dominated
Advice to Senior Management – don't take too long to extend employment offers to temps or we'll take jobs elsewhere

I worked at AEG (Los Angeles, CA HQ) as an intern for less than a year
Pros – - Lots of free tickets to major sporting and entertainment events
- Opportunity to work at big venues - STAPLES Center, Nokia Theatre, LA Live
- AEG looks great on your resume
- Get the inside look on how one of the biggest sports/entertainment companies work
Cons – - No clear plan on how to land a job after your internship. Worked my butt off for eight months and then let go after the term was over. AEG HR should create a program where they retain a certain amount of interns for jobs or at least recommend them for other job openings.
Advice to Senior Management – Learn to identify young top talent and retain them rather than just hiring from outside since these interns have got inside company experience within a variety of departments. You lose credibility in your intern program if you don't retain anyone.

I worked at AEG (Los Angeles, CA HQ)
Pros – Motivated co-workers, friendly environment, promotion opportunities, great location for a commuter, great benefits and extras given to employees, a visionary company
Cons – Very large company so its impossible to know everyone or everything going on at any given time. Other than that nothing.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the great work! This company has change the entire future of Los Angeles not just in terms of entertainment but also living, culture and food.

I worked at AEG (Los Angeles, CA HQ)
Pros – - Great benefits package for full-time employees
- Consistant perks/ discounts for company-sponsored concerts and sporting events
- Consistantly new, exciting & challenging work
Cons – - Extremely long hours lead to high employee burnout/ turnover rates
- Most positions don't offer industry competitive pay
- Poor work/life balance
- Poor communication from upper management
Advice to Senior Management – Long hours in the live events industry is standard, however compensating employees financially would help with the high turnover rates. AEG gives perks via discounted concert & event tickets rather than competitive salaries. Great place to start a career, but they have difficulty retaining good employees.

I worked at AEG (Los Angeles, CA HQ)
Pros – Sports and Entertainment Industry and the Benefits Package
Cons – Long hours and lack of communication between the divisions
Advice to Senior Management – AEG has grown so fast, yet their organizational structure is so convoluted. They need to work on fostering working partnerships between all of the divisions.
