I have been working at AEG full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working with talented people, exciting events and opportunities for networking, leaving early before the holidays, free or discounted tickets to concerts and sporting events. A lot of reviews on here are from interns or part-time employees. It's a different experience when you are a permanent, full-time employee. You and the company are much more invested in each other. I have worked at many different companies and organizations - AEG is by far the best place I have ever worked.

    Cons

Being in the heart of downtown Los Angeles makes for the worst traffic. Once you get to work it makes the commute worth it though. It's also difficult to get into this company because there are so many applicants for a position, but once you do you're in and there are many opportunities to advance as long as you work hard. I wish they started off my salary higher but I am grateful for the opportunity and don't mind working my way up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work! Many people in upper-management have been promoted within the company which helps inspire newer employees like myself.

I have been working at AEG as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

The office culture in the sales department of the LA Galaxy is fantastic

    Cons

The only con I would say is the location of the Galaxy offices. StubHub Center can be quite the commute.

    Pros

Great Company And Culture. Interesting Venue. Corporate Culture is unique. Small Industry so not for someone who has baggage to bring to work.

    Cons

Lots and Lots Of Work. Sometimes at very odd hours. Very young workforce. If you are middle aged, you might have trouble keeping up. This company moves fast. If you are asleep at the switch for even a minute, you are done.

I worked at AEG part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Really value employees through giveaways, sales contests, rewards, and opportunities to receive the benefits of living in Los Angeles.
Allows room to grow, ability to have a voice, and ability to network.

    Cons

Not as much direction, follow-through, and reason given to choices and decisions made.
Lack of awareness of little things that put employees in best position to succeed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue building employees' confidence, allow for ability to micromanage, while also providing enough leeway to succeed.

I have been working at AEG full-time

    Pros

The management team there is great but has been there for awhile. Since the company has been growing, there have been more and more opportunities. Being involved in the sports and entertainment capital on some of the best events really makes the job.

    Cons

The workload varies as there are different peaks and valleys of the time of year and the magnitude and number events that are being worked on. Starting out you have to put in your time - it's tough to find that work/life balance so you should like being involved in the events and working odd event hours.

I have been working at AEG full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Diversity of events, salary, challenge in what you do. Events span from award shows to NBA games to NHL Games

    Cons

Too much territorial control over responsibility areas. Need to work more closely as a team to leverage skill sets across the enterprise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the Ready, Fire, Aim approach. Listen to the doers and do not let the others sway your logic.

I have been working at AEG

    Pros

It's a pretty good company to work for. Lot's of great perks, such as free tickets and access to behind the scenes stuff. I've won tickets to the Emmys and GRAMMYs because of sales contests. The environment is mostly fun and young. It's a good place to start in your first or second job, right out of college.

    Cons

Corporate setting, a little gossipy, political, cliquey, LOTS of hours (60+ hr weeks are not uncommon), aggressive sales goals that many have a hard time hitting. As a sales person, you only make money off bonuses and commissions, so if you don't hit your goals, you aren't making a lot of money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't try to make the setting so corporate and professional. We work in entertainment, so a laid back office would be more appropriate. Also, a little recognition of working long weeks of office hours, nights, weekends, special events etc...
