    Pros

Great people to work with in the Tulsa OK area.

    Cons

Unsure what the company will look like in the future due to automated meter reading, and green energy changes.

Too bad AEP laid off so many talented employees in 2013

I have been working at AEP full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Was a great company to work for, valued it's employees, excellent benefits, safety a big focus. Employees took pride in their work

    Cons

Not working in Columbus held back corporate employees located at other locations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice, but I think the 2013 re-alignment did a disservice to many hard working employees. Jobs that were posted as 'available to affected employees only' never really seemed to exist

I have been working at AEP full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Salary system is good and bonuses are very nice. Some positions allow for substantial autonomy. Overal a company that is very much dedicated to safety and reliability.

    Cons

Autonomy can lead to boredom. Some jobs have supervisors so far removed that you end up with a lot of free time as a result of a job lacking difficulty.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review position duties. Paying someone $70K + to do cashier/admin duties makes people with aptitude very bored.
