There's a clear lack of leadership and management of expectations for a product that could be successful.

    I worked at AFINGO

    Pros

The team was inspiring, motivated, and professional. Despite challenges presented by management, the team kept the product going and encouraged others to do the same.

    Cons

Without clearly defined goals for the product it was difficult to develop and promote the existing site. Expectations of each team member were not clearly stated, and, therefore, there was no way to measure success. Management was frequently and openly disappointed in the team due to this lack of communication. These problems stunted the progress of the product.

    I worked at AFINGO

    Pros

Aside from management, staff is fun, smart, and dedicated to the product.

    Cons

Though product ideas are great, they are changed often with disregard to proper research and ample warning for employees. High turnover due to lack of structure and stability from management and founder. Management can be impatient during the process of growing an idea from seed to fruition. Very high and very low. The good days were great but few and far between, low morale after so many changes and layoffs. Pay was very low for industry standard.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stick with the good ideas and allow proper time for them to grow and happen, on the contrary take the time to research a new plan before launching it entirely. Have faith in employees to deliver instead of wasting limited resources on "specialists."

    Dis-organized management, a start-up that's still defining itself

    I worked at AFINGO

    Pros

This company is good at hiring talented people.
The people (not management) I work with are fun, energetic and dedicated.

    Cons

The management is poor - they lack clear strategy and direction. New business model is forumulated out of the thin air without adquate research. In time short time I've worked there the company's tried to pivot it's direction multiple times without a clear mission.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a professional, experienced management team to run this company. Focus on inspiring employees and motivating them to work hard. The talented people you've hired are professionals, you don't have to babysit your employees or treat them like factory workers.
