Pros
1. Friendly work environment.
2. Competitive pay.
3. Challenging work load that will push you constantly.
4. Opportunity for advancement.
Cons
1. A small company that is affected severely by the price of natural gas.
Pros
A utility based company with compensation and pay being somewhat industry comparitive for the eastern coast of the United States.
Cons
The AGL Way: all employee's are expendable, regardless of job performance or years of service.
Employee contribution costs to Health/Dental Insurance plan have gone shamefully high.
The environment & atmosphere in most company office locations has become very tense and strenuous which is counterproductive and in turn promotes non-trust.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your employees - you say that you do, but really - you DONT.
Your employee's are your backbone - start taking better care of your backbone before it cracks.

Pros
Great people to work with
Good communications between employees and from top management
Friday forums available to learn more abou the business
The company is daring enough to venture into non-core businesses which are more exciting
First name basis right up to the CEO
Flexible work time is avialable, including telecommuting options
Environmentally friendly company with many company sponsored programs to give back to the community
Great midtown location and nice offices to work in, plus free on-site parking (rare in midtown)
Cons
Utility business not super exciting and earnings are highly dependent on public service commissions
Recent Cost cutting measures have taken a lot of the fun out. No more employee holiday parties or summer outings.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up with the employee communications. We enjoy knowing what's going on at the company
