It gives you a good Work-life balance

Limited growth opportunities and quite bureaucratic in nature

Some excellent people have been working there for more than 20 years. AIG is very loyal to those who are loyal to them.
Cons
Company going through many tranisitions & downsizing due to economy and federal government intervention. No job stability. Sr managment lacking in effective ommunication.
Advice to Senior Management
Poor communication throughout management. Poor performing employees without appropriate skills are moved up within company based on many years with the firm. Makes poor business sense. Tolerance to bad managment needs to be corrected.

Pay is good, so are the benefits.
Cons
Work environment is awful. Most people are extremely rude and aggressive. Would not recommended this company to anyone but the unemployed and then only as a temporary solution

Used to be good benefits, but they recently took away the pension benefits.

Too much Cronyism and unprofessionalism among upper management.

Get rid of upper level management

The people are friendly and the atmosphere is good to work. The work is always challenging. good technical skills can be acquired in this place.

The shift timings are wierd. Difficult to cope up with the timings. Your normal schedule is affected when you work in rotational shift basis.

Please improve the cafeteria and try to improve the work station space. It is too small to accomodate everything that you got with you.
