    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more competent people in middle management to make Teams successful & implement the senior level management team's vision. An MBA degree should be made a prerequisite for ANY middle or senior level manager position. Currently there are too many managers who don't have any formal education in management and are completely clueless on how to manage Teams or deliver results efficiently.

I worked at AIR Worldwide as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

AIR is a medium sized and very transparent company. Upper management shares details no matter your level, and encourages input from all employees. There is a large emphasis on training to succeed in your job but also to understand what everyone else in the company does and how it all works together. The consulting team is comprised of really great people who all work together to challenge each other. I enjoyed the group aspect of working on projects, and you rotate who you work with on projects so that you get to work with and learn from everyone. The environment is very friendly and everyone is extremely supportive. The casual dress code was a nice surprise, also!

    Cons

Many projects had tight deadlines and involved working extra hours. As an intern, I was not allowed overtime, but coworkers were often working from home until late in the evening after leaving work and then were back in the office earlier than 8am the next day. No paid time off (only company-recognized holidays) or benefits for interns, but that is generally the norm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More intern events would be nice- I never really got to know the other co-ops or interns that much.

Always challenging, always new things to learn, very smart people, ethical leadership. Staff is very diverse and everyone is willing to help. Strong work ethic. An exciting road ahead.

I have been working at AIR Worldwide full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Good hard work is valued, and top management seems to be very friendly, personable and with their feet on the ground. My manager is great; emphasizing personal and professional growth, while being mindful to peoples' personal life. People's opinions are valued, and management seems to encourage growth of any sort.

    Cons

As with most companies this size, some departments seem to not communicate very well with other departments, but overall the communication within the company is good.

I have been working at AIR Worldwide full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I've been at AIR for about 8 months and I'm really happy here. I like the people that I work with, I love the location, and I appreciate the complexity and intensity of the work. This is a very interesting place to work and there is a lot of room for growth. I know that because we are growing a lot! The company manages to maintain a middle size company feel even with 8 offices around the globe. They also offer myriad training opportunities, both internally and externally. Since I started working here, I have taken advantage of a company internal training program and earned a new certification. All in all, I'm happy that I made the move to AIR.

    Cons

It can take a while to ramp up. My co-workers are so busy that they often forget to bring me into what they are doing, and I still have a lot to learn.
