I have been working at AIRMILES Travel

    Pros

it's sole shareholder is British Airways, so huge benefit packages linked with them.
ie - over 90% discount on flights,
also occasional free familiarisation trips to different parts of the world
and bonus scheme from sales can be significant if the work is put in

    Cons

Tough sales targets, can be unforgiving at times

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advertise more about the fact we sell hotels, don't just expect us as sales agents to sell away at ridiculous targets,
incentivise the customers to book hotels and anciliaries, like other companies do, BA Holiday, expedia, lastminute.com etc all offer significant disocunts with their hotel packages, let's compete!

    Pros

The management structure is solid. Communication between management and subordinates is also good. Techies can be challenged by working with fairly complex and well-engineered applications. Support for studying & family life exists. Incredible travel/leisure benefits. Scope for career growth is good.

    Cons

The commute can be tiresome for London-based employees. It's easy to get into a comfort zone and if you're someone who wants to work on the edge you may find the environment somewhat conservative- although this would be a positive attribute according to others.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep communicating as much as possible. Provide a common platform for employees to marry their interests with the company's interests i.e. encourage 2-3 hours p/week R&D time to those who have legitimate interests and technical capabilities to work on innovative projects.
