Loss prevention program good but should Consider other options.

Loss Prevention Detective (Former Employee)
Columbus, OH

I worked at AJ Wright

ProsAJ Wright has a good LP Program, are hands-off and you don't have to make court appearances on behalf of the company. Opportunity to work with sophisticated CCTV equipment as well as floor walking experience.

ConsToo many store involved duties and employee participation events. Store Management tries to compete with Loss Prevention and promotes a negative challenge on both operational and LP side. Not a lot of opportunity for advancement.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay more money and and seclude your detectives from store happenings. The regular hourly associates should not be involved with the detectives as much as they are. This inhibits much needed internal investigations.

AJ Wright Assistant Store Manager

Assistant Store Manager (Current Employee)
Chicago, IL

I have been working at AJ Wright

ProsExcellent benefits package, HR team supportive, competitive salaries, company sales are growing, small box feel in big box location, medical benefits start within 30 days.

ConsLONG hours, stores are shopped very hard so recovery is rough, don't really feel appreciated for hard work, the majority of the customers can be pretty irate at times.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide a more sound training program for management staff, learn the reality of the stores so that payroll can be given to properly recover stores, staff is overworked and underpaid, they should pay the hourly associates more than minimum wage.
