Verizon purchased Alltel, and is horrible to work for.

I enjoyed the people I worked with. We had a tight family style work environment. I will miss that about Alltel.

My director needed to be more flexible with different types of people. They also seemed to focus on negative aspects.

Advice to Senior Management

Currently Alltel was bought out from Verizon so I doubt feedback is necessary. I have to say I feel the merger was a good thing.

Promotions to management was not always commensurate with individuals skills and abilities.

Awesome benefits, the pay was average for the position. Management was amazing as well as co-workers. Alltel gave you a warm, small business, family feeling even though they were a large corporation. Everyone that I knew from the company was proud to work there.

There was not any downsides to working there, I wish I could find a company as great as Alltel. They were bought out by Verizon and it just was never the same.

The management staff was amazing, the corporate office was amazing. I actually knew many people on many different levels because we were so close to the corporate headquarters.
